Tutoring Center

Tutoring is offered both in person and online for Spring Quarter 2025.  We will be open Tuesday, April 8th through Friday, June 27th. Please see our full schedule below:

IN-PERSON CAMPUS TUTORING HOURS: Math, English/Writing, Science and other topics!

NEW LOCATION: The Study Hub, Building 2, located in the DMC parking lot

Monday 11:00am - 2:00pm

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00am - 3:00pm

Friday 11:00am - 2:00pm

ONLINE HOURS THROUGH ZOOM: Math, English/Writing, Science and other topics!

Tuesday evening 6:00pm - 8:00pm, & Friday 3:00pm - 5:00pm 

*e-Tutoring also available through https://etutoringonline.org

This platform is available to students from 5:00am - 11:00pm. Username is your last name and last 4 digits of your SID/ctcLink. Email Tutoring if you need assistance with your Username or your personal email linked to your eTutoring account.

Supporting your success

If you’re like many BTC students, you’re a working adult, are raising a family, or have other responsibilities—so attending and studying for classes can be a challenge. You’re not alone! Even the best students have difficulty juggling it all.

That’s why we offer Tutoring Services—a free service to help you increase your understanding and achieve success in math, accounting, chemistry, biology, writing, English, and many other courses. Tutors are recruited for whatever subject is requested by BTC students.

  • Online Tutoring is available for Math, Accounting, Chemistry, Biology, Writing, English, and many other courses. (Uses Zoom) Appointments can be made in advance for Online Tutoring, but not necessary, drop-ins are served on a first come basis.

  • e-Tutoring is a new product available for students!  

    • Create a student account by logging in with your username and Forgot Password.  
    • Enter your username (last name and last 4 digits of your SID) and your personal Email address.
    • Click Forgot Password to get a temporary password, then you can reset your password at any time. Your new account should be live and available for use. If you need assistance with your new account, please email tutoring@btc.edu 
  • In-Person on-site Campus Tutoring is conducted individually and in small groups by class in an open lab setting during active quarters. New Location: STUDY HUB, Portable Building #2, DMC Parking Lot

  • Tutors are graduate students, peer tutors, BTC graduates, retired teachers, professionals and others.

How to access Tutoring Services

  • Online Tutoring (Uses Zoom) We provide local tutoring assistance Zoom Tutoring offerings.

  • Check the drop-in tutoring schedule.

  • Contact the Tutoring Center.

  • To receive tutoring, you must be attending class and working on assignments.

  • If you need help in a subject that is not on the current schedule, contact the tutoring center.

Drop In Tutoring

BTC Tutoring Services are free, conducted in a group setting, and provided on a drop-in basis when classes are in session.

Online Tutoring

Online Tutoring is available for Math, Accounting, Chemistry, Biology, Writing, English, and many other courses. (Uses Zoom). Appointments are available online for 30 or 60 minutes one-on-one with a tutor by emailing the Tutoring Center/Study Hub: mgunning@btc.edu or tutoring@btc.edu
