Graduation Application

Note: This form is for those students applying for Associates degrees, including the option of high school diploma, and Professional Technical certificates.  Students applying for high school diploma only or high school diploma with a professional technical certificate should contact Transitional Studies at TS@btc.edu for assistance. Students that are also obtaining their Washington State High School Diploma from BTC in addition to their degree or certificate must complete the High School Diploma Eligibility form: 

Congratulations on nearing the completion of your program! Please submit your Graduation Application by the second week of the quarter in which you plan to complete your certificate or degree. Late applications will be accepted but may not be processed until the next quarter.

Graduation refers to the awarding of a degree or certificate once a student has successfully completed all program requirements. Commencement is a ceremony. It is an opportunity for the BTC community to celebrate academic achievement.  Completion of this Graduation Application is required to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

If Yes, you must complete a separate application for each degree or certificate for which you are applying.

By submitting this form, you are applying for graduation. The verification and awarding process for certificates and degrees starts after the final grades are posted to transcripts, which is three (3) business days after the end of the quarter. This process may take 6-8 weeks to complete. Upon verification of all completion requirements, your certificate or degree will be posted to your transcript. This is considered proof of completion. You will be notified in writing if your application has been denied.

An automated confirmation will immediately be sent to the email address on this Graduation Application. Keep this confirmation as your receipt. If you do not receive the confirmation, it means that BTC did not receive your Graduation Application, and you will need to resubmit it.
