Here’s a program to consider if you enjoy helping people and like variety in your career. BTC’s Hypnotherapy program will lead you to a rewarding career as a hypnotherapist, using hypnosis techniques to support clients with pain management, behavior modification, and other concerns.
You’ll learn valuable skills to use in your own private practice, or in a variety of healthcare settings, working with doctors, dentists, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
This program starts in the fall quarter.
Courses must be taken in sequence.
It is recommended that students have good basic academic skills.

Hypnotherapists work in a variety of healthcare settings. Many are practicing doctors, dentists, nurses, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists who are already established in their primary profession. Other hypnotherapists work in private offices conducting hypnotherapy.
Laura Doss has been at BTC for 10 years in the roles of Academic & Career Advisor, Student Navigator, Instructor, Completion Coach and now College Navigator for the Allied Health Programs. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science while serving in the US Army and stationed in Germany and her Master of Education while stationed at Fort Sill, OK. Her initial education and training was in the mental health field before moving into education. Outside of work, Laura likes to spend time with her four kids, walking the trails, cuddling with her tiny dog and reading a ton of books!
