Belmont Technical College maintains an open door admissions policy which makes it possible for all who desire a technical education to pursue the program of their choice.

Persons who do not have a high school diploma or the equivalent may be admitted. If pursuing a two-year Associate Degree program, those individuals must complete their high school equivalency prior to graduation from the College. Financial aid is not available to individuals who do not have either a high school diploma or GED (General Education Development) diploma.

While an open-door admissions policy is maintained, certain of the College's instructional departments maintain established guidelines for students desiring to enter specific programs. Refer to the Programs of Study section of this Catalog for clarification of these guidelines.
