WorkForce Funding & Support

You may be eligible for Opportunity Grant, Worker Retraining, Basic Food Employment & Training, WorkFirst, WorkSource Scholarships, Passport to College or other funding to help pay for your education. It's all here on BTC's Workforce Funding & Support page.

Passport

Through the Passport to College Promise Scholarship program, students receive a scholarship that assists with the cost of attending college (tuition, fees, books, housing, transportation, and some personal expenses), and specialized support services from a college staff member.

Scholarships

Scholarships are another source of free money to help pay for school. Scholarships are provided by Bellingham Technical College Foundation, and other organizations and donors, based on certain criteria.

Veteran's Benefits

With the exception of the Paramedic program, all of BTC’s degree and certificate programs are eligible for Veteran education benefits.

Schedule an appointment with our Veterans Funding Navigator by emailing veterans@btc.edu or call 360-752-8387.

After you have registered for classes, or adjusted your schedule, and you are requesting to use your Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) – Education Benefits at Bellingham Technical College, please make sure to fill out the Quarterly VA Certification Request Form.

Financial Literacy

The BTC Money$marts Podcast is a financial wellness podcast series created for Bellingham Technical College students. Each episode features BTC students, staff, community professionals and financial experts examining vital financial literacy and wellness topics. The goal is to help each person navigate resources in the community and empower themselves financially.

Emergency Funding

The Bellingham Technical College (BTC) Emergency Funding Program provides financial assistance to students who experience financial difficulties that impact their ability to continue their education.  All students must complete FAFSA or WASFA to be eligible for emergency funding.  BTC aims to make access to emergency funding as low barrier as possible and is designed to be inclusive of all students regardless of whether you meet the traditional definition of a "needy student."  Find out more and apply on the Emergency Funding page.
