About the Clinic:
The Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs at the Bellingham Technical College provide comprehensive dental care at our newly remodeled, state-of-the-art, on-campus dental clinic from October through June. The clinic prepares students for their careers in dentistry, providing the opportunity to care for a variety of patients and incorporate classroom learning into real-life, practical applications.
Community members benefit by receiving high-quality care at reduced fees. Work is provided collaboratively by both students and licensed professionals. Dental services provided by students are closely supervised by licensed staff and faculty.
The clinic is located in Building C on BTC’s campus. Free parking is available next to the clinic, though visitors are required to sign in to ensure parking monitors don’t write them a ticket.
What we offer:
Services in the Dental Clinic include dental examinations, x-rays, prophylaxis/periodontal care (cleaning), and a variety of restorative procedures that include fillings, crowns, bridges, and root canals. We do some extractions, but no dentures, implants, or periodontal surgeries.
Fees for services are about 30 percent lower than private clinics. Patients are charged on a pay-as-you-go basis. The clinic accepts cash, checks, debit and credit cards, but does not bill insurance companies.
Make an Appointment:
Appointment times vary depending on the program and session, but the clinic is generally open Monday through Friday from October to June. Before accepting a new patient, we will schedule a screening appointment to determine whether the person qualifies for our student requirements. For more about how our process works, see our Dental Policy (RTF | PDF).
