Mission:
To Provide Educational Opportunities that Maximize Workforce Performance, Career Development, and Self-Enrichment.
The primary objective of the Workforce Development and Community Education (WD-CE) Department is to plan and promote full use of college resources to assist individual, business, industry, and community growth through training and education. All programs are intended to enrich, strengthen, and support those who are not served by the traditional instructional activities of the College.
Based upon community interest and need, these programs help our customers upgrade their skills, increase their knowledge, learn a new hobby, advance their careers, solve problems adn stimulate their minds. Courses are informal, relaxed adn noncompetitive. Topics may include: computers, supervisory skills, team building, personal finance, art, music, foreign and sign languages, travel, business grammar, herbs, local history, and children's courses.
Training
We develop training in customer specific areas for individuals or groups to help businesses/ industries maximize their productivity and profit.
Economic Development
We offer services in facilitating strategic planning, locating and connecting businesses, developing and maintaining a quality workforce.
Workforce Development
We provide training to individuals and companies to improve their soft skills, technical skills, and professional knowledge.
Personal Enrichment
We provide courses to enrich you life through arts and crafts; home repair and improvement; and cultural and physical ameloiration.
Public Safety
We provide entry level, customized training, and continuing education in the areas of emergency medical services and fire safety.
