Belmont Technical College will accept credit earned at other institutions which are accredited by regional accreditation agencies such as the North Central Association of College and Schools. The courses must be comparable in regard to earned credit and quality points to those taught at Belmont Technical College . They must be applicable to the student's degree at the College.
Furthermore, in awarding credit to students transferring to Belmont Technical College from other institutions the College is guided by the policies promulgated by the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Advisory Committee. In awarding credit to transfer students, Belmont Technical College uses standards identical to those for native students. In this manner we insure equality for native and transfer students.
No credit will be transferred with a letter grade of less than āDā (1.0). Additionally, courses taken at another college in which a letter grade of āPā (pass) was earned can be accepted. Belmont Technical College will accept transfer credit from other institutions in the categories of Credit by Examination, Advanced Placement, and military or other non-traditional training credit.
Official college transcripts must be submitted to the Belmont Technical College Records Office. Credits will be assessed and approved at the discretion of the Program Chair of the academic department related to the student's degree.
