Determining the Future is the phase that provides the framework on which the future of the college will be built. By affirming the college's mission as well as its values, the college will build a vision for the future that will set the stage for the remaining phases of the strategic planning process.

7.  Review/revise mission statement will involve a careful analysis of the current mission statement of the college and comparison to all documents and legal statues that contribute to the mission of Belmont Technical College.

8.  Establish values statement is a process of articulating what the college believes and holds sacred with respect to service to students and the community.

9.  Establish a vision statement is an articulation of what the college wants to be and wants to achieve for its students and the community. It is based on all available data and feedback obtained throughout the Strategic Planning Process.
