Job Fairs

Belmont Technical College is a founding member of the Upper
Ohio Valley Career Services Consortium. This organization includes
Career Services officials from 11 colleges and universities
located within 35 miles of Belmont Technical College. The College's
participation in this organization enables students to attend
the largest Job Fair in the region.
The Job Fair is held each year during the early spring. Recent
UOVCSC Job Fairs have included more than 70 employers from the
region. The site of the fair changes each year, with member
colleges having an opportunity to host the event. It has been
held at Belmont Technical College, Wheeling Jesuit University,
and West Liberty State College. Belmont Technical College has
provided a shuttle van for students when this event has been
held at other campuses.
Attendance at a job fair can be a first step in the hiring process.
The Job Fair provides the opportunity to interact with a wide
variety of employers on a one-stop basis. Students will be able
to provide employers with resumes, complete applications, and
to gather information on current and future possibilities with
employers. Graduates and alumni of member institutions may participate
free of charge.
The Career Services Office also conducts an Allied Health and
Public Services Job Fair for graduates of related programs at
Belmont Technical College. This event, conducted during Spring
Quarter, provides health majors an opportunity to meet and converse
with prospective employers on campus.
