Firefighter / Paramedic

This ATS degree is structured around Ohio Division of EMS Career Firefighter and Paramedic programs. It will provide students with the knowledge and certifications needed to obtain a position as a career firefighter/paramedic. Job opportunities for the career firefighter/paramedic abound throughout the state of Ohio.  Reciprocity to other states is also possible.

In this program, students will progress through the EMT-Basic, Volunteer Firefighter, Career Firefighter, EMT-Intermediate, and EMT-Paramedic curriculum and will take the state certification examinations for each. Upon successful completion of those examinations, students will be certified to become career firefighters/paramedics in Ohio, with reciprocity possible to other states.

The curriculum consists of 11 core courses and nine general education courses.

Note: Fire and EMS courses can be taken seperately for State Certification without completing the degree.
