Workforce Initiative Association (WIA formerly JTPA ) and Trade Adjustment Act (TAA)
Assistance for individuals who recently lost jobs or are entering the workforce after an extended period of unemployment. For information about WIA and TAA, contact the Employment Source at 740-942-2171. WIA Area 16 covers, Belmont , Harrison, Carroll, and Jefferson Counties. For Monroe , Morgan, Noble, and Washington Counties call 740-732-1441. Students must complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility for grants before being considered for WIA funding.
