Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE)
Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) is a state and federally funded program that helps adults, includes 16 and 17-year-olds who meet certain criteria, grow to their potential. The ABLE program includes classes that help students build a foundation of literacy skills needed for effective citizenship, family learning, further education, and employment.
ABLE Services
ABLE programs and classes serve adults in the areas of:
- GED preparation
- Basic skills (English, math, reading, writing, science, and social studies)
- Family literacy
- Workplace education
- English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)
- Basic computer literacy
