Mr. Thomas Dowler

Thomas R. Dowler, St. Clairsville, has been named chair of the Belmont Technical College Foundation Board of Directors.

"Tom Dowler and his wife, Linda, have been generous contributors to the Foundation, and have a strong background of philanthropy in the community," said Dr. Joseph E. Bukowski, BTC president.  "Tom is a community leader.  The Foundation Board is very fortunate to have him leading it at this stage."

He replaces Michael Maistros, the founding chair, who will remain on the board.

The Belmont Technical College Foundation Board is charged with obtaining funding for the growing scholarship opportunities provided by BTC, as well as other needs of the college.  "As chairman of the Foundation Board, it is my responsibility to channel the diverse and formidable capabilities of our Board of Directors to obtain these goals," said Mr. Dowler.

A lifelong resident of St. Clairsville, Mr. Dowler is a 1960 graduate of St. Clairsville High School, and obtained his BS from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa. in 1964.  He is the former owner and president of Shamrock Conduit Products, formerly located in Barnesville, Ohio, one of the leading domestic electrical conduit pipe fittings manufacturers.
